In 2014, Comunidad Realty Partners bought Villas Del Zocalo to provide affordable housing to residents. Partnering with a Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS®) Lender PGIM to finance this important project, Fannie Mae was able to bring affordable housing to a vibrant community.
Villas Del Zocalo provides residents with affordable housing, while providing them with programs that allow them better opportunities for employment, health, and wellness. Villas Del Zocalo continues to thrive with high retention rates of tenants and a continuous investment in the community.
Today, Comunidad owns nearly 5,000 workforce apartment units in the southwest, Miami, and Atlanta.
