Lead Associate, Economic and Strategic Research — Economics
Michael F. Connolly is an economist on the Climate Research Team in Fannie Mae’s Economic and Strategic Research Group. He focuses on producing long-term research addressing issues related to climate and housing. His research encompasses a broad range of topics including insurance, multifamily, green bonds, and finance. Michael joined Fannie Mae in 2023.
Prior to his current role, Michael was an assistant professor of economics at Colgate University from 2019 to 2023. He was also a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City from 2011 to 2013.
Michael has a B.A. in economics and mathematics from Rutgers University — New Brunswick and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economics from Boston College.
