Kim Betancourt is Vice President of Economics and Multifamily Research in Fannie Mae's Economic and Strategic Research Group. She manages a team of real estate economists who focus exclusively on the multifamily sector. Kim is responsible for analyzing current economic conditions at both national and local levels, determining their impact on the multifamily sector, and identifying future trends.
Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Kim was a senior vice president at GMAC Institutional Advisors and managed the Realpoint (now DBRS) Senior Analytical Research Team. Prior to GMAC, she was a director in the Standard & Poor's Structured Finance department, where she managed a team of 10 senior analysts. She has also held leadership positions with Citicorp and Midlantic National Bank (now PNC).
Kim is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE). She is also the Vice Chair of the National Multifamily Housing Council's Research Committee.
Kim has a B.A. with honors and an M.A. from Rutgers University.
