Katie O’Connell Jones is Fannie Mae’s Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources (HR) Officer. She reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer and serves as a member of Fannie Mae’s Management Committee.
Ms. Jones is responsible for developing the HR strategy that enables Fannie Mae meet its strategic goals and oversees the company’s HR function. She leads human capital planning, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, workforce analytics and technology, and HR operations. Ms. Jones also partners with others from across the enterprise, including the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, to ensure the HR strategy promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce and culture.
Most recently, Ms. Jones was Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at PRA Group, a global financial services firm with approximately 5,000 employees and clients and customers across 18 countries.
Previously, she held Senior Vice President positions at SunTrust Bank, AIG, and Crestar Bank. In these roles, she led national and global HR functions, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, succession planning, HR systems, total rewards, diversity and inclusion, and organizational design.
