Salary and Rewards
Fannie Mae strives to help employees meet their current and future financial needs. We balance our base pay – both internally and with the market – to support and recognize strong performers. And our structured review process encourages employees to drive their performance higher each year.

Annual merit increases are a means to increase base pay based on individual performance. We also recognize outstanding individual performance and cross-divisional team performance with our All In Awards program and offer an employee referral program.*

* Individual employees may or may not receive all components, and payment of merit increases and spot awards are the sole discretion of Fannie Mae.

401(k) Retirement Savings Plans
Fannie Mae offers a robust 401(k) retirement savings plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match of up to six percent of annual compensation, with the company's matching contribution vesting immediately. We also contribute an extra two percent of your annual compensation to the 401(k) plan – whether you contribute to the plan or not – which vests after just three years of service.
